Born in Thessaloniki in 1970. He studied theTheory of Music at the Modern
Conservatory of Thessaloniki and harmony at the Conservatory of Toumba.
Since 1986, he has been occupied with his music professionally and for three
years he collaborated with the Band of Traditional Music of the Municipality
of Thessaloniki.
Since 1993 he has been a member of the band «Loxi Falange» (Curved Phalanx)
of Nikos Papazoglou and, since 2002, he has been a regular collaborator of
the composers Th. Papakonstadinou and G. Kalangi.
In 1992 he begun his recording activity and has participated in over 40
albums to date.
He has worked with: M. Theodorakis, V. Soukas, D. Savopoulos, N. Papazoglou,
D. Mitropanos, D. Basis, M. Kana, L. Kalimeri, P. Theoxaridis, K. Kaldaras,
P. Thalassinos, S. Malamas, Th. Papakonstandinou, A. Moutsatsou, G. Melikis,
D. Adamopoulos, N. Starrianos, N. Ziogalas, X. Karathanasis, N. Tsimas,
Agathonas, B. Gioles, B. Tsertos, Mario, R. Stamos etc. He has taught lute,
tambouras, and tzouras at secondary schools, conservatories and music
schools and, since 2001, he has taught folk guitar and lute at the Higher
School of Music Technology at the faculty of Folk and
Traditional Music of the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus. In
2004 «EN CHORDAIS» Editions published his first book, a method of learning
lute.
